A tale of 2 weekends across the Hudson Valley this weekend. We start with summer… and by the time the weekend is over, it will feel like fall…
The same high pressure that has given us a gorgeous week, will give us 1 more day. It will hold the cold front to our west just long enough to enjoy a nice day on Saturday. Southerly breeze will provide us with temps that are about 5 to 10 degrees above average.
As sunset approaches, the clouds roll in on Saturday evening. The night time will feature mostly cloudy skies, and the threat of scattered showers increases as the night progresses. Nothing too heavy, and not a washout… but a few showers (even a brief rumble of thunder) can’t be ruled out overnight.
By Sunday morning, the clouds are rapidly exiting the area. Our wind will have shifted around, and will be out of the north by early on Sunday. Instead of the warm, summer air we’ve seen… a brisk fall feel will overtake the Hudson Valley. Highs on Sunday will struggle into the low 70s, with a decent north breeze… possibly making feel just a bit cooler. To be honest, this air mass will feel like fall, but it will really just be more typical of the weather we should see this time of year.

HVW 5 DAY FORECAST
How’s everyone doing? I’m doing… well… crazy.
Ok, Ok… not really… but what would you expect with 2 children under the age of 5, and The Weather Peanut (that’s the 8 month old)… won’t sleep thru the night, EVER. So there has been no time for any banter of late. Honestly, I don’t have time right now… but I wanted to say 1 thing this morning.
This will likely be the only blog post for the weekend. The reason… The 2015/2016 Winter Outlook. That’s right, we’re working on getting this thing finished, because it’s nearing October already. So in order to focus on the Winter Outlook, which we hope to have released within the next week, posts will be limited for the next few days.
The important thing… is the 24 hr forecast tab next to the radar at the top of the main page, will always be updated… as will the 5 day forecast. So the weather information itself will be up to date… just possibly a little quieter with blog posts.
Have a great weekend everyone!!
