Another chilly start across the region, with morning lows around 40°. But we’ve got abundant sunshine and blue skies on the agenda for today. In addition, we’ve got a steady SW flow setting up. The combination of both of those, will create a beautiful autumn Wednesday for us. With afternoon highs expected right around 70° expected. That’s between 5° and 10° above average, so anyone with outdoor activities will be in great shape.
We do need some rainfall, and our next shot at that looks to be Monday or Tuesday of next week. We’ll see a big trough dive into the eastern US at the end of the weekend, and a low pressure system will try to form along it. If it does form, it could provide a soaking rain Monday into Tuesday. But timing will be key with the development, so cross your fingers for some substantial rain on Monday. We’re not in a drought situation at this point… but we could certainly use the rainfall.
