For early August, you’ll be hard pressed to find weather that’s much better than this…
Mostly sunny skies will be the story for today. We’ve got a light NW/variable wind that has ushered in some very low humidity levels. So while we’re warm on Wednesday, the humidity levels will be extremely comfortable. Expect afternoon highs between 80° and 85° for most of the valley areas, slightly cooler in the Catskills. Some guidance suggests the potential for a stray afternoon shower or T-shower in the Catskills… but the threat is really low (less than 20%). We just wanted to mention it, in the event it happens, we don’t want viewers caught off guard. But the VAST majority of the region should remain completely dry and see lots of sunshine and blue skies.
We’ll have a repeat of this weather on Thursday as well. Another warm, but quite comfortable day is lined up. As we near the end of the week, we could see clouds increase with the threat of a few spotty showers by late on Friday and into Saturday. We don’t see a widespread rain event in our future (Friday/Saturday)… but clouds and a few scattered showers appear possible. We’ll keep tracking it as we get closer. Have a great day everyone!!
