Wednesday : An early morning shower, followed by clearing skies, and a mix of sun and clouds. High near 70°.
Wednesday Night : Partly cloudy. Low in the low to mid 40s.
Thursday : Partly cloudy and cooler. High in the low to mid 60s.
If only Monday’s weather fell on a weekend. Poughkeepsie saw a high temperature of 76°, in what was just a gorgeous day. As a whole, the day was 11 degrees above normal… if you had the day off, hopefully you were able to enjoy it.
Wednesday will start off with some clouds… as the rainfall from Tuesday night will likely just be exiting the area around sunrise. After any left over showers exit the region, we should see increasing amounts of sunshine… and Wednesday afternoon is looking quite nice. Thursday looks dry, with a decent amount of sun as well. The difference for Thursday, will be cooler temps… more typical of what we would expect this time of year.
As we push toward Friday… a frontal boundary will set up over the Mason Dixon line. Along that boundary, the remnants of Tropical Storm Simon will begin to move across the United States. Friday looks mainly dry… but we could see some increasing clouds and a scattered shower near sunset. The trick, is Saturday’s forecast. The frontal boundary looks like it could drift closer to the Hudson Valley, and that could lead to some clouds and unsettled weather. We’ll track it as we move thru the week… so check back if you have weekend plans.
What a long day. We’ve been tracking the cluster of rain and storms that will impact the Hudson Valley prior to sunrise on Wednesday. Plus, I need to get up early on Wednesday morning and take the Weather Munchkin to pre-school. So I suppose I should go get some sleep. Wednesday is another day… so I’ll be back Wednesday night with another update. Hope you’re Wednesday turns out to be a good one!
