After a couple days around 90°… we’ll see noticeable changes on Wednesday. The cold front that touched off some strong to severe storms over the northeastern parts of the Hudson Valley, has moved off the east coast. That has shifted the flow out of the northwest. That means cooler temps, and lower humidity levels. Instead of highs flirting with 90° on Wednesday… we’ll be in the low 80s across the valley. The Catskills look even cooler… remaining in the low to mid 70s all day. We’ll start with mostly sunny skies… but some high clouds will mix in during the day.
Thursday we’ll see similar conditions to Wednesday… with some extra clouds rolling in later in the day. But as it stands right now (midnight Tuesday/Wednesday)… the coastal storm that should develop on Friday, appears likely to stay just a bit further off shore. That translates into a much drier forecast than what we had just 24 hours ago. The 5 day forecast has the details:
HVW 5 DAY FORECAST
This continues to be a fluid situation… meaning that if the projected jet stream changes even slightly, it could have major ramifications for the Friday/Saturday forecast. We certainly could use the rain… but at the moment, it appears we may miss out on the bulk of it. But 3+ days away, the forecast is far from written in stone.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!
