Things are looking a bit different today on HVW. After receiving much constructive criticism on the appearance of the website, we decided to implement a change to the font and background colors. Our goal being to make HVW as user friendly and visually appealing as possible. So far… the feedback has been extremely positive, which is great! We hope that fans who found the website rough on the eyes, will now find HVW a much better experience.
Tuesday was a rather cool day in Poughkeepsie, as the high temperature only reached 75°… which is 10 degrees below average for this time of year. The day almost had an autumn feel to it… especially late in the day, when clouds rolled in and temps were in the low 70s.
Now, we’ve got one or two more fantastic days of weather ahead… before things become more unsettled. Wednesday and Thursday both look quite good. Wednesday is the better of the 2 days, but not by much. The sunshine will be plentiful on Wednesday, and the humidity will be very low. Thursday looks nice as well, with comfortable humidity and temps near or just above 80°. The difference being, on Thursday one or two isolated showers or T-storms could pop up in the afternoon. That could lead to a 15 minute rain delay in one or two areas… but it shouldn’t ruin anyone’s outdoor plans.
Things begin to look quite a bit unsettled as we approach the weekend. A couple areas of disturbance threaten some showers for Saturday… which I know won’t be a popular thing with anybody. We’re still 3 to 4 days away from the weekend, so don’t go changing plans just yet. We’ll make sure we keep an eye on the weekend forecast and give you updates as necessary.
Well… I’ve just fallen asleep after completing that last paragraph… so that means it’s time to wrap it up. And if that wasn’t enough reason to stop typing, I just saw something that is going to change… the… world…
Stop what you’re doing, ladies and gentlemen…
Set your DVRs… Set your alarms!
Just over 1 year ago… on July 11, 2014… the internet broke. Prepare yourself… the internet is about to break once again…
“Sharknado 2 : The Second One” premiers at 9pm Wednesday night on the SciFi channel… and Twitter (along with the rest of the internet) will be broken once again… #sharknado2. Oh boy, ladies and gentlemen… you don’t want to miss this. I don’t know if the phenomenon will be anything like the original… but last year, I literally watched Twitter break, right before my eyes. I cannot wait to see Ian Ziering back in action… in what has to be, the fastest turnaround for a movie sequel, in the history of film. Trust me… nobody was planning on doing a 2nd Sharknado… until the first became a pop culture legend. And in 12 months, they green lighted, financed, wrote, cast, filmed, and edited “Sharknado 2”.
Get Ready… it’s coming… tonight. Have a great day!
