Cloudy and cold conditions continue across the majority of the Hudson Valley this afternoon… with temperatures hovering within a degree or two of 40º. We’re expecting conditions to remain as they are now… for the next several hours. A quick glance at the 4pm radar, and you can see that the bulk of the moisture is in extreme western NY and PA… leaving the Hudson Valley dry for the time being.
As we move into the overnight… cold air will continue to filter in from our north, and temperatures will dip into the low and mid 30s across the Hudson Valley. Short range data suggests that the HV should be free of precipitation after midnight… but areas of fog and drizzle can’t be ruled out. With temperatures so close to freezing… some icy spots cannot be ruled out, especially in our northern areas. This could have implications on the Thursday AM commute in a few places… something to keep in mind.
Otherwise, have a wonderful Wednesday evening!
