We will be dealing with two shots at snow this week, but the bigger story will be a transition to a colder pattern that will possibly be more conducive to a snowier pattern as well. Let’s get through this transition week first, after a period of showers starting early Tuesday morning and lingering into the early afternoon we will have a lull in the precipitation for the afternoon into the overnight. On Wednesday a period of snow showers may develop in the morning, with temps still mild across the region it will likely transition to showers during the day in the Valley locations with snow possibly persisting in the higher elevations. On Thursday we will be tracking another area of low pressure that may try to develop along the coast and throw moisture back into the region once again. Once again the temps and the exact strength and final track of the system will determine snow or rain, and how much. At the moment both of these potentials look to be of minimal threat. The upcoming weekend and beyond is when the pattern will begin to evolve into one that may bring us back into a colder a snowier pattern, more on that tomorrow.
