After a great start to the work week, we continue with the nice weather for our Tuesday. We’ll see wall to wall sunshine for much of the day, as high pressure controls our weather picture. It will be cooler than Monday, and that’s thanks to a northerly flow that has been filtering cooler air into our region the last 24 hours. Even so, the highs on Tuesday should be near average… around, or just above 60°.
Tonight, we’ll see the flow shift out of the southeast, and that will pull some low clouds into the region overnight. In addition, a few areas of patchy drizzle can’t be ruled out. The flow out of the SE will continue into Wednesday, bringing us cooler and more unsettled weather for tomorrow. The bulk of the moisture looks to stay north of the Hudson Valley, but we’ll be tracking that. The next few days appear to be unsettled, as a couple storm systems pass by to our north. Each one could spread some showers into our area between Wednesday and Thursday night.
But as a reward, we may see the work week close out with a beautiful Friday afternoon. We’ll have to track the progression of the cold front, but we could sneak some sunshine in on Friday, and with a SW flow ahead of an approaching cold front… highs on Friday could spike into the mid and upper 70s. Something to watch for. Our first look at the weekend, isn’t a great one. We could see a good deal of unsettled weather to our south, and with the NW flow… a cool and unsettled weekend seems likely. We’ll keep you posted as we head through the week. Have a great day!
