After a hot start to the work week… we’ll have one more hot day to deal with, before we see some changes. Sunshine will mix with a few clouds… and winds will be out of the SW to start the day… that will allow the humidity to build just a bit. But the winds will shift to be out of the west/northwest by afternoon. This will help to drop the humidity just a touch for the afternoon hours. While we can’t rule out an isolated T-Storm or rain shower… it appears as if most of us remain dry. In fact… not only will most places stay dry, the sun should be a pretty big factor in the day’s weather.
As we approach the end of the week, our eyes are focused intently on a dip in the jet stream. That dip (trough) will try and dig into the eastern US. If the jet stream is able to dig deep enough into the Mid Atlantic states… it could allow a “nor’easter” of sorts to develop. That storm has the potential to spread a much needed soaking rainfall into our area. We will continue to post updates on this situation as it gets closer.
Until then… please check out the HVW 5 DAY FORECAST for more information on the forecast.
Have a great Tuesday, Hudson Valley!
