The cool air has really settled into the Hudson Valley. In fact, each of the last 2 mornings has been about 5 degrees colder than the computer guidance has suggested it would be. Take it from some guys who spend ALL their time looking at computer guidance and translating that into a forecast… that’s a pretty big sign of just how potent this fall air mass is.
For Tuesday, the sunshine and blue skies should help warm things up quickly. We’re starting out once again in the upper 30s and low 40s, but before noon we should be into the mid and upper 60s. Forecast highs today should be around 70°. With a light wind, that should make for a beautiful autumn Tuesday.
Our nice weather will continue through the week… with some more clouds and a chance for spotty showers pushing in by late Friday and on into Saturday. We could use the rain… but at the moment, it doesn’t look like a lot of rain will be associated with the weekend disturbance. We’ll keep our eye on it. You can always get the latest in the HVW 5 DAY FORECAST.
We’re also working on the winter outlook. We’ve been compiling the data for a couple weeks now, and are in the process of putting our thoughts together. Hopefully we’ll have that released in the next 7 to 10 days. We know some of you are dreading winter… and others of you are itching for it. So hopefully the outlook will be enjoyable to all of you. More details as we get closer.
Have a great Tuesday!
