Monday was the thing that spring dreams are made of. Poughkeepsie saw a high temperature of 66°, with a good amount of sunshine. But after a truly gorgeous day on Monday… things will change drastically on Tuesday.
We’ll see clouds and even some areas of fog to start the day… then a few scattered showers by late morning. As the afternoon wears on… the showers will become steadier and more widespread. Some areas could be in for a rather soggy afternoon and evening… as the projection is for total rainfall amounts around a half inch by Wednesday morning.
And temperatures will not respond well either on Tuesday. The frontal boundary will be slightly further south than originally projected… which doesn’t change much in terms of the weather we’ll see… but it does impact how warm we get (or don’t get, in this case). Highs on Tuesday will once again, struggle to get out of the 40s… (between 5 and 10 degrees below average)…
So not a beautiful day… unless you love a chilly rain. But we knew that this week was going to bring the ‘April Showers’ to the Hudson Valley. So behind this day… we have several more wet days to look forward to. Check the HVW 5 Day Forecast for more details.
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
