Overnight showers have lingered into the morning across southern parts of the Hudson Valley, as our Thursday starts off gray and in some cases, damp. As the morning progresses, those showers will move away to our east. That should allow for some sunshine to gradually mix in with the clouds by late morning… and we will likely be left with a nice afternoon. Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds this afternoon, with high temperatures pushing into the mid and upper 60s across the Hudson Valley. So a day that starts out gray, should brighten up quickly for most of the area.
Tonight, we’ll see clouds increase as an area of rain and thunderstorms tries to develop. It appears focused to our north, but will very likely spread some rainfall into our area toward midnight Thursday night. On average, expect increasing clouds this evening, with periods of rain showers… with a few heavier downpours possible, even a rumble of thunder… after midnight.
Friday looks rather unsettled, as the disturbance struggles to push east on Friday. Initially, it appeared that Friday would clear out, leaving us with nice warm weather. Now, it seems that low clouds, patchy drizzle and even a spotty shower could linger across the valley for much of the day on Friday. This would hold temperatures down in the 50s for highs, under mostly cloudy skies.
The weekend is looking like a 50/50 weekend… with Saturday looking very nice, and Sunday having a threat of clouds and showers. We’ll fine tune that later on Thursday. Have a great day!
