After what seems like weeks of unseasonable warmth… today we begin our return to normal…
In the wake of a cold front that moved through overnight, our winds have shifted out of the northwest. That will begin to pull in some much cooler and less humid air from Canada. So expect a persistent breeze out of the northwest today. But we should also see a good amount of sunshine and blue skies, mixed with a few fair weather clouds. Afternoon highs should climb into the mid 70s across the valley, but even cooler temps are expected in the Catskills. You might need to hold onto your hat a little on Thursday, but we’ll see weather much more typical of late September.
This weather will carry us through the weekend. A weak disturbance moves through Friday night into Saturday, and that could spread some clouds and spotty rain showers, so we’ll have to watch for that. Otherwise, a decent fall-like weekend lies ahead.
Have a great Thursday!
