All eyes continue to be on Hurricane Irma for the SE US. For us locally, the weather will quiet down, and be quite nice for early September.
Expect increasing sunshine and blue skies through the day. Skies will turn partly to mostly sunny, and we’ll have a light WSW wind, and low humidity. Temperatures will continue to be cool for this time of year, roughly 5° or 6° below average in most spots. But low 70s are not bad at all. So anyone with outdoor plans will be in great shape across the Hudson Valley!
As we look ahead, the weather continues to be nice heading into the weekend. There’s a little atmospheric instability across the northeast, and that could lead to a localized rain sprinkle in spots. But most locations should remain partly to mostly sunny, and dry through the weekend.
We’ll have discussion on Hurricane Irma as soon as possible. But no major changes to our ideas and track… as Irma continues to be a strong Category 5 Hurricane that will take aim on Florida between Saturday and Sunday.
