Thursday: Partly Cloudy and comfortable. An isolated afternoon thunderstorm can’t be ruled out. High in the upper 70s to near 80°. Chance of rain 40%.
Thursday Night: Clear and cool. Low in the low to mid 50s.
Friday: Mostly sunny and beautiful, with low humidity. High in the low 80s.
A short breakdown today… because I put together a post recapping the hail storm from Wednesday. Check it out if you want to see some amazing fan pictures from a storm that blew thru parts of the area between 3pm and 5pm on Wednesday. If you weren’t located in the area that saw the hail producing severe thunderstorm… Wednesday was a beautiful day for you. Poughkeepsie recorded a high temperature of 82° before the storm went through the area.
Thursday “should” be quieter across the area. The majority of the data has the entire Hudson Valley partly cloudy, dry… and most importantly, free of any rough weather. However… I’m still seeing one or two pieces of data that make me worry that we could see another isolated afternoon thunderstorm. It looks like a long shot… but so did the Wednesday thunderstorm. If anything should materialize on Thursday, we’ll have updates on the Facebook fan page. You can also track any potential thunderstorms on the HVW Interactive Radar.
Looking toward the weekend… lets just say, it looks very good. If time allows, we’ll have another post later on Thursday with a closer look at the coming weekend, but I don’t think many will be disappointed.
Time to shut down shop for tonight… 2 website posts inside of 3 hours, I’m wiped out. Have a great Thursday everyone!
