The scattered showers from this morning have mostly exited the area. That leaves us with clouds mixing with breaks of sunshine as we push into the afternoon hours.
A look at the current radar, and you can see that we still have some scattered showers around the region. We have numerous showers in eastern PA and the Catskills that will be pushing our way over the next few hours. Those showers should dissipate a bit as they push east, so for the afternoon hours… expect clouds mixing with sunshine and a few spotty rain showers. If you have outdoor plans, make sure you plan for a brief rain shower.
In addition, the wind will become an increasing factor. In the wake of a cold front that has pushed through, we’ll see an increasing west wind. Winds could gust over 25mph at times this afternoon, really adding a bit of a chill to temperatures that are pretty standard for this time of year. Temps around the region are generally in the low to mid 50s… but the gusting wind will make it feel quite a bit cooler at times.
The wind will continue into the overnight, so some colder, more blustery weather heading our way for the next 24 to 48 hours. Have a nice afternoon!
