A beautiful, warm summer day across the Hudson Valley on Saturday… where Poughkeepsie topped out at 84°. On Sunday, the heat and humidity makes it feel like the dog days of summer…
Clouds will mix with sunshine as we move thru the morning Sunday, and into the afternoon. The weak west/southwest flow, will usher in some higher humidity levels… making the heat feel rather sticky. Temperatures should push toward 90°, but don’t be surprised if it feels a little warmer than that. In addition… the increased atmospheric instability could allow one or two afternoon T-storm cells to flare up.
You can see on this simulated radar, that the threat isn’t widespread… but it does look to be an issue for portions of the area. As the afternoon moves on… feel free to check the HVW Radar, or the HVW Facebook page for storm updates. If any storms fire up, we’ll relay an update on the situation so you can plan your afternoon activities.
With that said… you can always find extra forecast details on the HVW 5 DAY FORECAST
Have a wonderful Sunday, Hudson Valley. Don’t forget to stay properly hydrated, and take breaks from the direct sunlight. Nobody wants to ruin the day by getting heat exhaustion.
