After the soaking rains from Saturday… Sunday we’ll see the clouds hang tough, but we should be much drier…
The low pressure system has pulled up into the northeast… leaving the Hudson Valley finally drying out in the wake. Preliminary rainfall totals between 2 and 4 inches were common in much of the central Hudson Valley… with some areas exceeding 5 inches! It was a much welcome, very soaking rainfall across our area, that has been long overdue. We’ll have graphics on the rainfall in the Sunday evening update (Monday Outlook).
In terms of Sunday’s weather… expect the clouds to hang tough… although sunshine should break thru from time to time. The flow out of the west/northwest will combine with the clouds, to help keep temps down in the mid 70s for most of the Hudson Valley. While it should be primarily dry… a few spot showers can’t be ruled out, as the upper level low pressure rotates thru, and follows the surface low pressure up into eastern Canada.
