This has been a year like no other when it comes to storms avoiding our area. Never before have I seen so many promising setups end up fizzling to nothing. To drive home this point we have seen the least snow this season in some 120 years of data capture. The storm for Sunday PM into Monday will be no different, all data went from a decent storm to nothing in less than 24 hours. This is why we have basically not committed to a single storm this entire season, once a pattern is locked in, no reason to expect it to change.
We literally had data showing a foot of snow just over 24 hours ago and now data has nothing. This is why it’s important to not forecast with data, we saw all the same snow maps floating around the Internet, and even saw maps showing how much, now those maps are all null and void.
Quite frankly it has been such a tough winter for forecasting snow that we are just about ready for it to be over anyway. Let’s just get to spring and leave this all behind us. Today should be an awesome day, a bit cool, but lots of sunshine, make sure you get out there an enjoy it. In other big news, our app is out!! Hopefully you have read our app release and went and downloaded it, please continue to share with everyone you know! We have also added a much requested PayPal link at the top of our website for people to help support HVW. Hope everyone has a great day and please stay tuned for more updates!
