We’re starting to run out of words to describe how perfect this weekend’s weather is going to be. When you think of summertime weather, and what people expect… this is about as good as it gets. It’s by no means a heat wave… but it will feature temps near or slightly above average… and most importantly low humidity.
Temperatures this time of year average around 85° for a high… as we approach the historically hottest time of the year. Saturday will be right in line with that… as much of the area is near or slightly above 85°. With very low humidity levels, thanks to a west/northwest flow from Canada… it may be one of the warmest, most comfortable days we have seen in a long time. Hopefully you are able to enjoy it!!
Cloud wise… well, there won’t be any… so no worry there either…
It’s literally going to be picture perfect on Saturday… near impossible to do better. We suppose if you like heat and humidity, that you won’t be impressed. But if you like summer warmth, and low humidity levels… and if you love sunshine and blue skies… you won’t do any better than Saturday.
Sunday looks similar in a lot of ways… just not quite as “perfect”. A few clouds high clouds will be on the increase for the afternoon. Still, the day turns out partly cloudy we think. Temps look a little warmer, possibly cracking 90° in Poughkeepsie for the 1st time in 2015. We’ll have to watch that. The humidity should still be very good… maybe just not quite as good as Saturday.

So… the past few days have been crazy. Really… it’s been the entire last week. First the Weather Munchkin comes down with strep throat for last Saturday, so we spend part of the day at the doctor and tending to her. Then Monday, the Weather Peanut gets sick, so we take her to the doctor… turns out it was just an ugly cold. Add to the whole thing a few personal family issues, some home improvement dilemma’s and it’s been a blur. As far as HVW posts are concerned… the Weather Peanut has been waking up right during my “production time”… and that has meant Daddy goes and rocks her back to sleep, often dozing off with her. By the time I wake up… I can muster only enough energy to climb into bed.
So… the evening updates have not quite been what I would like. The important thing to know, is that the 5 Day Forecast will ALWAYS be available for forecast information. So if you need to refer to that, you can. On occasion, you may see only 4 days in the 5 day… well, that’s proof positive that we update it ourselves, and put the forecast together ourselves. It only means that we’re still working on the details for day 5… and not to worry, it will be there shortly. The truth is… 5 day forecasts are no where near as reliable as the general public wants to believe they are. Day 4 and 5 are really nothing more than an idea, that is subject to major changes. But that’s another rant for another time.
Anyhow… it’s time to get to playing with the kids, so I’ll be on later… have a GREAT day!
