As the rain falls across the Hudson Valley Friday night, things should dry out for the most part after sunrise on Saturday. Here’s a snapshot of the futurecast for 12pm on Saturday:
You’ll notice that there are projected to be breaks of sun in the northern half of the Hudson Valley. So don’t be surprised if we see some peeks of sun by late morning. You’ll also see that the moisture is projected to be south of our area by mid day. That should provide us with dry conditions, despite the fair amount of cloudiness.
So expect morning clouds, with an early left over spot rain shower. Clouds should begin to mix with breaks of sunshine by late morning, and continuing into the afternoon. It should be cooler, with afternoon highs in the upper 70s. By late afternoon, we could see spotty showers and thunderstorms begin to pop up once again. So if you have late afternoon or early evening plans, you may need to keep an eye on the radar.
After a few scattered showers during the evening hours, skies should begin to clear out overnight. That will leave us with some nice weather on Sunday. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies on Sunday, with low humidity and a breeze. Afternoon highs should peak near 80°, but it will be comfortable.
So don’t let the weather fool you. It may not be a 5 star, sunny day on Saturday… but it should remain dry enough for those with outdoor activities to have a decent day. Have a great Saturday!
