After Saturday was spent dodging showers most of the day… Sunday was a much different story for the Hudson Valley. Poughkeepsie’s high of 83° was right on target for this time of year… and mostly sunny skies made for a great summer Sunday. Many people are itching for a heat wave… but with those not in the offing… gorgeous days like Sunday will have to do.
Monday we will see clouds mix with sunshine across the Hudson valley… but it should remain dry…
Our flow continues to be out of the southwest as well… and that will help temps once again feel like you would expect for this time of year… summer like.
While Monday doesn’t look as beautiful as Sunday was… it should still be quite a nice day, just a few more clouds. As we look to Tuesday… we’ll see some patchy fog to start the day… and then a mix of clouds and sun. It does appear that the humidity will be higher, and some afternoon showers & storms are possible. So Tuesday does look a bit more unsettled. That will be a trend that sticks with us thru the week, as well. For more details, please check out the HVW 5 Day Forecast.
Monday is the final day of the HVW App Survey. If you haven’t had a chance to complete the survey yet, we’d love it if you could spare a few minutes. Feedback has been great so far, but we want to hear as many voices as possible. We’re trying to figure out what features fans want to see in this app. We’ve got plenty of great ideas, but we want to hear what you want to see as well. Thanks for sparing a few minutes of your time!
If there’s one lesson I’m learning quickly this summer, is that 2 children require twice as much time and energy as one. That’s only relevant, because I had an expectation of how much time I’d have for posting detailed recaps, and special posts. There have been SO MANY things I wanted to go through, like rainfall analysis… temperature comparisons… summer outlooks… but alas, my 2 little girls are taking everything out of me. As a result, the daily outlook has been just focusing on the basics. I don’t mean to make this sound like an apology… but more of an explanation. There are just so many hours in the day. Speaking of which… it’s after midnight, and I need to recharge the batteries… so I can keep up w/ my “Weather Rugrats” on Monday.
Have a great Monday!
