After a brisk, cold Sunday … that saw winds gust out of the NW at over 20mph…. Monday could feature more of the same…
Winds will once again be out of the NW, which will touch off some lake effect snow showers and flurries during the morning hours. Those will be more widespread in the Catskills and northern viewing area. Otherwise, it should be partly to mostly sunny… with afternoon highs once again projected into the mid 40s for the valley… and 40° to 45° across the Catskills. That’s close to where we should be for late November… but the difference will be the wind chills. The NW wind gusting over 20mph at times will make for wind chills in the mid to upper 30s all day. So the early winter chill will be felt across the region on Monday.
Winds will shift around to the southwest late Monday night into Tuesday. So after a cold start Tuesday morning, temperatures should rise into the upper 40s to near 50° for highs on Tuesday. Temperatures will vary through the week, as the wind directions shift in response to passing weather systems to our north and south. But generally expect highs ranging from the low to mid 50s on Wednesday down into the low to mid 40s by Thursday and Friday.
We hope your week gets off to a great start! Have a nice Monday!
