Monday looks quite unsettled. The predawn hours will be stormy at times, as an upper level low pressure system over the Great Lakes begins to rotate thru Upstate NY. That counter-clockwise flow will mean scattered showers and thunderstorms spinning across the Hudson Valley from time to time as we enter Monday morning.
During the morning hours on Monday, things will remain unsettled, as that SW flow across the area will spin up more showers and thundershowers. Here’s a simulated radar that has performed pretty well in the past couple days, showing a projection for 8am Monday morning. Don’t get hung up on the exact location of the storms that pop up on this radar… what’s important is that we will likely see scattered showers and thundershowers popping up in various places again early on Monday, and these could contain heavy downpours and gusty winds. This theme looks to continue into the late morning and early afternoon. So expect some unsettled weather to start your work week.
We’ll have more updates for you on Social Media as we head thru the day on Monday. My apologies for the short post… it’s been a long day. I’m having too much fun on HVW, that I’m forgetting to sleep properly. Time for me to grab a few hours before my work week starts. I’ve been dying to share some pictures of my “weather munchkin”, but all this active weather has prevented it. Luckily… we should have some much calmer weather by Tuesday….
