Well… after a while, you start to run out of ways to truly express how nice the weather is going to be…
Afternoon temps near, or just above 80°… and a futurecast satellite image that struggles to find a cloud (maybe one or two in the Catskills). Add in a weak westerly flow… and you have rather low humidity levels for the last days of August. Can’t do much better than that.
The remainder of the weekend, we’ll see temps on the increase, and sunshine will continue to dominate the weather picture. By Sunday, we’ll be flirting with 90° once again, and humidity levels will begin to creep up as well. By the time the work week starts… we could be dealing with considerable heat and humidity.
Complete Forecast Details: HVW 5 DAY FORECAST
So… I do the bulk of my HVW work at night, late at night. So long after my family has gone to bed, I’m up crunching computer model data, and chatting with Alex…. alone. Now, I’ve got 2 little girls under the age of 5, so that means there are toys everywhere in my house… and many of those toys are electronic (you’re welcome, Duracell). There is NOTHING creepier, than when I’m in my den… alone… and the rest of the house is dark and quiet… and suddenly this stuffed electronic talking dog, pierces the silence and starts singing “Pattycake” from across the room!
As I’ve found out over the years, kids toys LOVE to go off on their own in the middle of the night. I’m not sure if it’s the change in temperatures… lighting… whatever. It is downright scary… especially when I’m the only one downstairs. Now that I’m officially creeped out… I think that’s my cue to go to bed… before I get a visit from the evil doll “Chucky” from the movie Child’s Play.
