Friday morning serves as a chilly reminder of the fact that it is almost October in the Hudson Valley.
The low in Poughkeepsie this morning was 42°, which is actually below average for this time of year. That’s something we haven’t been able to say very often of late. So if anyone needed a reminder that it is fall, and not summer… well there you have it. Partly to mostly sunny skies will do the trick for our Friday. A persistent light NW wind will continue to bring the autumn chill into the area. Afternoon highs should cap out right around 70° in the valley, with the Catskills struggling into the mid 60s. So a cool fall Friday ahead of us.
Looking to the weekend, Saturday is looking rather unsettled, while Sunday is looking outstanding.
You can see on this simulation, that there are spotty rain showers and drizzle projected into the Hudson Valley during the first half of Saturday. These could extend into the afternoon hours, but we could also see some breaks of afternoon sun. Either way, it will be a chilly Saturday, with temps in the low 60s expected.
Have a great Friday!
