After numerous days of humidity… Friday looks much, much more comfortable.
The front that touched off the showers and thunderstorms on Thursday, will take the humidity with it… leaving the Hudson Valley with lots of sunshine, and beautiful conditions… all thanks to lower humidity levels…
High pressure appears poised to set up over the Hudson Valley for the weekend… and that means a good deal of sunshine, and temperatures remaining hot… between 85° and 90° on average. The data continues to point toward low humidity levels this weekend… which would mean we’re in for a truly gorgeous weekend. We’ll continue to monitor the humidity as we get closer… to see if the humidity will make things stickier than expected.

Billy’s Banter / Thursday Recap
While most of the region saw rain on Thursday… this image clearly shows the steadiest and heaviest rain fell after the line of thunderstorms really organized themselves. Areas that could really use the rain (north of Poughkeepsie)… continued to see minimal amounts on average.
2015 has been a dry year… and the Hudson Valley could sure use a few more steady, soaking rain events. Unfortunately, the image tells the story… and that is how the majority of Thursday’s rain fell south and east of I-84.
A busy week (for me anyhow) comes to a close on Friday. Enjoy the lower humidity levels, but please remain aware, that it will be hot on Friday.
