Let’s talk about the forecast for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day across the region. One thing is for sure, if you wanted the warm weather to continue for the holidays, it doesn’t look good. The stalled front that caused the extreme differences in temperatures across the state will start moving south, and through the region Monday and usher in much cooler temps behind it.
Christmas Eve– Temps will be a full 30 degrees cooler than today’s record high temps. We will likely see highs only reach to right around freezing, and lows reminding us that Winter has not finished with us yet, as we get down to 10-15 degrees. Can’t rule out a chance of snow showers during the afternoon hours.
Christmas Day– Looks like a beautiful day, with sunny skies and highs near freezing. Partly cloudy skies for the overnight with temps dropping into the low 20’s. Unfortunately for anyone who was hoping for a white Christmas, this warm stretch has done some damage. Besides some dirty piles of snow and a few patches of snow here and there, things aren’t looking all that white.
